What is CAPM® certification?
The CAPM® (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is an entry-level credential awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). It certifies knowledge of the fundamentals, processes and best practices of project management, based on the PMBOK® framework.
What is CAPM® certification for?
CAPM® is aimed at people who want to get started in project management or strengthen their knowledge base. It is especially useful for project team members, junior profiles and professionals looking to build a career in Project Management with a recognized certification.
What are the requirements to sit for the CAPM® exam?
To apply for the CAPM® exam you need to have:
- A high school diploma (or equivalent)
- 23 hours of project management training, aligned with PMI®.
Previous professional experience in project management is not required.
How is the CAPM® exam structured?
The CAPM® exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, which must be completed in a maximum of 3 hours. The questions test knowledge of project management processes, tools, concepts and approaches.
What is the minimum passing score for the CAPM® exam?
PMI® does not publish a fixed passing score. The score is determined by a proprietary evaluation model, which takes into account the difficulty of the questions and the candidate’s overall performance.
How is the CAPM® certification renewed?
- Validity of certification: 3 years
- Renewal requirement: 15 PDUs during certification cycle
- Type of PDUs: Education PDUs (can be obtained through training courses)
- Renewal: requires payment of a fee to PMI®.
Can I contract the exam directly with BePM?
The CAPM® exam is contracted and scheduled directly with PMI (and its exam system). We will prepare you to pass it with criteria and practice, but the official registration for the exam is done on PMI’s platform.
What materials are included in the course to better prepare me?
In addition to the on-campus content, the strength lies in the practice resources: assessments, scenario training and simulation to help you gain fluency with the PMP® style of questioning. If you need an exact list of materials per course version, we send it to you in the brochure.
Can a cancellation or refund be made?
